David was the King of Israel, founder of the ancient israelite State with his son Solomon. David is a warrior, but also a mucisien and a poet. Author of the Psalms, he sings them surrounded by musician angels. The table illustrates a passage from Psalms which recommends to praise God with stringed and percussion instruments. King David's life is recounted in the books of Samuel and at the beginning of the first book of Kings.
