Waterman fountain pen promotion poster
A red-haired man dressed in white, carries in his right hand a Waterman fountain pen and in his ink-stained left hand, he drops a quill. His jacket is stained to his left.
Waterman was founded in New York in 1884 by Lewis Waterman (1837-1901) his first ink tank fountain pen was produced under the name The Ideal Pen Company
Waterman is a Paris-based company that manufactures fountain pens and is owned by the American group Newell Rubbermaid.
Leonetto Cappiello is an Italian painter, illustrator, caricaturist and poster designer, naturalized French in 1930. His poster career began in 1900 and continued until the 1930s. He remained loyal to the Vercasson printing works until the early 1920s , continued with the combined Printing works and began, at the same period, to work regularly for the publisher Devambez, with whom he signed, from 1921 to 1936, an exclusive contract.
