This sensational statue is of two beautiful maidens dressed in classical attire. One maiden is holding up a tambourine while the other is playing with a charming faun at her feet and grasping clusters of grapes all in rich satin and burnish finish.

Original guilt throughout. Striking proportions.

Clodion born on the 20th of december 1738 was a french sculpture represatative of the rocaille style.
He receives his first order from king Louis XVI for a statue of Montesquieu.
