A charming French 19th Century Louis Philippe Ormulu Orientalist clock.
The clock is raised by scrolling feet beneath a rectangular base displaying a finely chased wrap around ormulu band with intricately detailed scrolled foliate movements in rich satin and burnished finish.
The enameled clock face displaying fine roman numerals is incased by a most decorative ormulu foliate design, the reverse is stamped « 492 ».
Above is a young maiden on a rocky outcrop dressed in a flowing period attire, leaning against a stone wall besides a ewer.
Twin barrel movement.
