The vase is raised by a fine ormulu base with arched designs with a charming rosette on each face.
The socle shape pedestal displays fine wrap arround berried laurel bands mounted by flitted fluted patterns.
Luxuriant ormulu mounts encase the exeptional front bodie meticulously hand painted, depicting a wonderfully executed and most charming scene of the Duc of Northumberland and former Queen of England Jeanne Gray.
The rear dipicts a beautifull English country side with a Château in the background.
All arround is a lovely hand painted and most decorative foliate guilt design.
At each side are impressive richely chased rams heads amidst fine scrolled movements.
Above is the most elegant removable lid revealing the Sèvres signature on the insinde, mounted by charming cupid holding an arrow in his right hand whilst at the bottom features a richely chased wrap arround ormulu foliate design.
