A very impressive and grand scale Italian late 19th century alabster sculpture.
The statue is of a maiden in oriental drape, with bare feet carrying a large water urn on her shoulder.
She is leaning against a fountain that features a wonderfully executed Zéphyr masque with water flowing out of his mouth supporting the fine and most decorative lamp.
The elegant tapered alabster pedestal is raised by a circular base and leads up to a finely molted border top.
