“Charles et Ray EAMES, édité par Mobilier International: Lounge Chair et son Ottoman en placage de palissandre et garniture de cuir fauve.” Resulting from a prototype presented at the “Organic Design in Home Furnishing” competition at the Museum of Modern Art in 1940, the Lounge Chair is one of the most complex creations ever made by Charles and Ray Eames and their first project for the top of the line. Luxurious and welcoming, a great design classic, the Lounge Chair stands out from the rest of their work, usually focused on the possibilities of series production, since it was designed and produced in 1956 for the birthday of director Billy Wilder. A 670 and 671 Herman Miller Eames lounge chair and ottoman produced Mobilier International from 1972.

Pretty creased patina to the leather. The wood shells are walnut. The Lounge has a production before 2004.  Ottoman measures 26 x 21 1/2 inches and is a little over 17 inches tall. Chair dimensions are below. From the beginning, there have been two official editions of the Lounge Chair: one American, the other European. The former has been manufactured by Herman Miller since 1956 and to the present day. The second by Mobiliar International under License Herman Miller then by Vitra.
